As a result of recruiting companies from all over the world, we have placed a new emphasis on helping existing industries in Alabama grow and expand. Today, our economy is receiving national acclaim for its transformation. Agency Goals       

Alabama Department of Transportation:
Efficiently manage the improvement and preservation of Alabama's transportation infrastructure system.
Alabama Development Office:
To achieve $12 billion in export sales of Alabama products and services annually by FY2011, with the goal of a 6% increase each year.

Coordinate with strategic partners the recruitment of new/expanding businesses and consultant contacts resulting in 160 new projects worked annually by FY2011.

To achieve $20 million in film investment annually by 2011.

Alabama Industrial Development Training Institute:
AIDT workloads.
Department of Economic & Community Affairs:
To procure and administer training programs for adults, dislocated workers, and older youth, which lead to employment.
Department of Industrial Relations:
Reform, with workforce development partners, the workforce delivery system model, enhancing performance, improving productivity and customer satisfaction, despite funding reductions, through leveraging resources to accelerate and improve integration of one-stop services with partner agencies by the end of FY2011.
